We are here to help…

MHA offers a robust amount of social emotional support through our approach of personalized learning.

Each student at MHA is assigned to a

  • teacher advisor that meets at least once a week in advisory

  • guidance counselor to support with progress to graduation and social emotional supports

  • pathways advisor to support with college and career goals

  • grade team leader to talk to and support with all needs

  • Principal, Assistant Principal, and School Business Manager with open-door policies- text, call, or come chat anytime!

  • IEP Coordinator (for students with IEPs)

  • Special Education Liaison and Transition Coordinator (for students with IEPs)

  • Speech and Language Therapist (if needed)

  • licensed social worker, if needed.

In addition to these supports, our campus has a full service, NYU Health Clinic on site, where students can be referred to for free mental health counseling by licensed mental health counselors.

It takes COURAGE to ask for help and prioritize your mental health.

While everyone at MHA is here to help and we encourage each student to talk to a staff member at MHA about anything, we know that additional supports are often needed. See below for options to find additional supports: (These are referrals only and MHA does not endorse them in any way)
